For those who don't know, Samick was at one point the largest manufacturer of guitars in the world but you wouldn't see nearly as much of their own branded guitars as the third-party guitars they made for numerous others. Feb 04, 2017 · I have a Samick Artist Series solidbody, kinda like a double cutaway Les Paul with set neck and Firebird pickups. Korean-made, it is just a fabulous instrument in fit and finish. It holds a special place in my heart.

Another guitar that plays as good (many have said "even better" than an original Les Paul) is a Tokai LoveRock.
