Sandy's art and can be seen in the book THE WEST OF SANDY INGERSOLL (1974). In his younger years Sandy worked for a variety of cattle outfits. He did about every job associated with such operations and gained a real feeling for the cowboy's life. He was considered one of the last of the old time Montana cowboy artists.
