In Native Song, he surrounds images of Filippino soldiers from the Phillippine-American War with covers from popular Filipino musical scores. Then, he layers a hand, knife, cross, and symbols and text on the photograph, recalling Spanish colonization.

The restoration is a tribute of Boy Yuchengco for Santiago Bose, who died in December 2002. De Guia and established artists Nona Garcia, Leonard Aguinaldo, Jordan Mang-osan, Perry Mamaril, John Frank Sabado, Kigao Rosimo, Rocky Cajigan, Bong Ti Baguio, and Randy Gawwi have been working since February 17 to restore the mural.
