Sarah was born in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1978. She received an Associates of Applied Science with a major in Glass from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998 and Bachelors of Fine Art from Rhode Island School of Design in 2001. She relocated to the San Francisco Bay area in 2001 to work for a glass and sculpture studio in Napa, CA.
