Most of the websites you can find on Saskatchewan indigenous art deal with contemporary artists. Undoubtedly, there were indigenous artists using contemporary European art materials and styles prior to 1950 but they seem to be obscure in the newspapers. The first one I came across was Allen Sapp whose career really belongs to the post 1950 period.
