In November 1948, Scott McDaniel and his wife Maxine loaded up their tiny car and headed north from California. Their goal: to spend one year for Scott to see and try to capture through his art, the majestic beauty of Alaska; to experience the country he had fought and nearly died for during World War II. The great north captured his heart and that year turned into 64.
