Born in 1981 in Co. Tipperary, Ireland, she lives and works in Tipperary. Geoghegan graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the Crawford College of Art & Design in Cork (Ireland) in 2003. In 2013 she completed an MFA at the Slade School of Art, London (UK) where she was awarded the Stanford Scholarship, the Orpen Award and the Charles Heath Hayward Award.

Sheenagh Geoghegan’s exhibition ‘Stoma’, at the beautiful Source Arts Centre gallery space in Tipperary, explicitly sets out to do this.
