Sleepy Read is still alive at age 91 and paints Mon-Fri at his Gallery in Cleburne, TX. I've bought several of his paintings and love them all! He did have an illness that has effected his vision but that's improving. He and his son Martin are very nice and good to work with.

Whether it is oils, acrylics or whatever the mood strikes him he works on a painting every day. He does westerns, landscapes, bluebonnets and abstracts.
