If so, the artists won't show in the artists menu on the iPod. To check, highlight the tracks on one of the offending artists CDs in iTunes, right click and select "get info". Feb 03, 2008 · If it's showing up there and not on the iPod, then it still seems the compilations setting is the most likely cause of this. Since iTunes and the iPod have distinct settings for whether tracks are grouped as part of a compilation, it's possible for the artist to show up properly on iTunes but still not appear properly on the iPod itself.

Aug 07, 2019 · Two of the songs have the album specified, one has the artist specified, and the other nine have neither specified. All of the songs are on the iPod. However, when I look in that Genre on the iPod, the first screen lists “All” and “Mary Jones” (i.e. the artist). If I choose All, the next screen does not show all 12 songs.

I've synced my ipod with my offline playlist but my ipod does not show any songs when i press on the artist/album. I can, however, play individual songs from the songs tab. It has been like this for a few days now (possibly since the last update?) and it is incredibly fustrating.

May 23, 2013 · The songs have artists when you look on iTunes but when they are synced to my iPod some songs show as "unknown artist" "unknown album" when the song is playing and when you look it up under the songs tab on the iPod itself. I have changed the artist on iTunes under the "get info" tab to say the right artist. I'm completely stumped.
