Nov 17, 2017 · In Search mode, there is no option to search for Contributing Artists (Track Artists). When you search for Artists, it only returns results where your search text is found among Album Artists in the Library. eg. I have a number of ZZ Top albums, where ZZ Top is the Album Artist.

Jul 24, 2013 · Unfortunately Sonos does not search the contributing artists list so no compilation tracks are found when you perform an artist search. You might say this is a tagging issue but if you don't populate the "Album Artist" for compilations all of the individual artists that appear on compilations appear under the artists list, rather than the contributing artists list.

So doing a Spotify search on Sonos desktop, or a Search->Artists and picking the artist under the listed Spotify artists on both the iPad and iPhone clients seems to be working. Spotify's order isn't necessarily perfect, but it's artist->album browsing. Spotify desktop app does the reverse-chronological album listing when you search by artist.

Windows 10. All my music is in a main folder titled Music. All artists/bands are in sub folders by their name. Within those sub-folders are folders by albums and songs inside of those. ALL files are MP3's. .38 Special is one of the band folders. It doesn't show up in the SONOS music library when ALL of the other artists/bands do.

I just verified that searching for a contributing artist works on my copy of Windows 10, since I have to update my Windows 7 VM, I’m going to give this a try, will update again when I’m done.
