Feb 28, 2008 · Jesús Rafael Soto nasce a Ciudad Bolívar il 5 giugno 1923.Già da ragazzo inizia a dipingere dei poster per i cinema della sua città natale. Non era possibile non notare il suo precoce talento artistico, pertanto Soto si iscrive e frequenta l'Accademia artistica di Caracas.. Dopo gli studi, dirige dal 1947 al 1950 la Escuela de Artes Plasticas a Maracaibo.
