Spitalfields Music is a charity and a company limited by guarantee. It is governed by a board of trustees and its day-to-day activities are managed by a core team. Around 100 people regularly volunteer for us, helping with a range of activities, not least running our festivals.

Stephen was Guest Artistic Director of the Spitalfields Festival in Winter 2000, and was a member of the Spitalfields Artistic Committee for some years. He is a Trustee both of NMC Recordings, Cambridge University Musical Society, and Artistic Director of the Klosters Winter Festival.
