Stanley Palmer (1936- ) was born in at Turua in the Coromandel. He has lived in Mt Eden, Auckland since 1941. Palmer trained as an art teacher but from 1970 Stanley has worked as a full-time printmaker from a home based print workshop. The variety of Stanley Palmer's print-making output has been astonishing, his work has included woodcuts, monoprints and bamboo engravings.
