Landscape Architect and Arborist, Philanthropist, Artist. From 1932 until 1970, Steele Burden was the landscape architect for the Louisiana State Univerity campus. He planted a forest of live oaks which unify the diverse buildings on campus. He was the subject of the master's thesis, "Steele Burden and Windrush: A Historical Documentation of a Landscape Designer and His Garden."
