Stephen Park was born in 1953 in Birmingham, England. Stephen first started painting at the tender age of twelve. However, his real enthusiasm for art did not begin until the age of fifteen. The famous artist John Constable was one of the big influences on Stephen’s work.

Stephen Park was born in Edinburgh in 1962, and grew up in Newcastle. While attending Goldsmiths College he was included in the New Contemporaries at the ICA London. He graduated from Goldsmiths with First class honours in 1985, and the same year was included in a group show at the Serpentine Gallery.
