Stephen Willard (1894-1965) was one of the Southwest's premier landscape photographers. He settled in Palm Springs in 1922 and photographed desert landscapes until he moved to the Owen Valley in 1947 and opened his studio in Mammoth Lakes. From his base in the mountains, he photographed the magnificent Eastern Sierras.
