Stephen St.Claire The technique I developed is called Dialuminism (”light passing through”) because I'm painting atop aluminum leaf, creating "back-lit" oil paintings. Light reflects off the metal background layer, and illuminates the layers of paint from behind. The result is a painting with very intense color.
