Steven Polson. Polson was born in New York City, grew up near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and was a regular visitor to the museum. At age sixteen, he began his artistic studies at The Art Students’ League in New York City. He later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Cooper Union for the Advancement for Science and Art in 1984.
