Mar 07, 2017 · I recently bought a Blessing Super Artist trumpet that was labeled Silvertone model 200 which was sold by Sears in 1964. Looks really nice has a nice tone but the tuning is terrible.

Oct 14, 2009 · The super artist was played by Clifford Brown, a very talented jazz trumpeter in the late 40's. He was killed at a very young age (28 I think?) in an accident on the PA turnpike. I have a 1947 model in my shop (also underslung 3rd slide ring), awaiting a valve refit job. Nice, heavy, solid horn.
