Sylvia Gosse, born Laura Gosse, was the daughter of novelist Sir Edmund Gosse, and was well known as a painter and engraver. Although she painted a number of portraits, she was better known for her streetscapes and interiors. Gosse was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists.
