An Alabama native currently living and working in the mountains of North Georgia, Whisenhunt creates sculpture and mixed media paintings inspired by a nostalgic look back at the rich culture of rural Appalachia. Jul 15, 2018 · A native of Alabama, Whisenhunt holds a BA from Birmingham-Southern College with an MA from Florida State University. He was the Associate Professor of Art and Chair of Fine and Performing Arts at Judson College from 1998 – 2009 before moving to Young Harris College in Georgia where he currently holds the same title.
