The florist provided flowers for the Artistic Whisk to place on the cake. The flowers were a part of the drawing and everything came out exactly how I wanted. Besides the design, the cake tasted amazing. We went with a chocolate strawberry and an orange creamsicle alternating flavors between the tiers. I am obsessed with how the cake turned out.

A Chicago R&B and soul group discovered by Major Lance, the Artistics were formed in 1958 at Marshall High School. They sang at the 1960 Democratic Convention and backed Lance before recording for Okeh in 1963. Original lead vocalist Robert Dobyne joined founding members Aaron Floyd, Curt Thomas, Laurence Johnson, and Jesse Bolian in 1963.
