Thomas Bowler is known for Painting. Born in England in 1812 T.W. Bowler emigrated to South Africa in 1833. He worked first at the Cape Town observatory, then as tutor to the children of Captain Wolfe, commandant of the prison settlement on Robben Island in Table Bay, before establishing himself as a landscape artist and drawing-master.
