Aug 20, 2015 · If you only tipped $15.00, it better have been the size of a dollar bill or less. Since it is a touch up and it's FREE, you should tip $30.00 or more. One of my tattoos is the size of my entire shoulder blade, I will tip $50.00 for a touch up. Don't be cheap when it comes to tipping a tattoo artist.

One note on this, if you are legitimate friends with your artist you can switch it up with things you know they love like a bottle of Scotch or something of that ilk.
