Squeezebox Server recognizes both ALBUMARTIST and ALBUM ARTIST in Flac/Ogg/Ape files. Oct 31, 2015 · the point of an AA tag is to group mismatched artists as belonging to one album if all the VA tracks share the same album tag, and AA tag. right now, i have 45k tracks, and every one of them has a TPE2 tag that every app other than Foobar treats as AA.

My work process for an album with various artists is: put all tracks of the album in one folder. right click this folder and select MP3Tag. Then MP3 Tag opens. Select all the files in the right pane. Make sure that in the left pane the following tags are identical: Album, Albumartist (which should be "Various Artists" in this case), Year and Genre.
