We went to United Artists Berkeley 7. We enjoyed seeing The Martian, which is one of the nominated Best Pictures for 2015 for the Academy Awards. The theater is a historic theater with art deco decor. Staff is friendly and helpful. Quality of movie is good. Sound is good too. Ironically, in the early-1990’s,an astonishingly stark multiplex, operated by United Artists was built partly on the former Fox Mission Theatre site. Fox, now long gone as a theatre chain, still has the last laugh, however. The United Artists ‘plex was a failure, and closed after only a couple of years.
