The School of Visual and Performing Arts, Academy of the Arts in Launceston Tasmania offers an artist‐in‐residence program for visual artists, designers and theatre and curatorial/arts management practitioners. Standard residencies are for seven weeks, however shorter residencies can be negotiated.

Artist in Residence (AIR) Program The University of Tasmania's Cradle Coast campus seeks to support educators, makers, artists, designers and researchers interested in exploring their interpretations and perspectives of Tasmania’s North-West region.

Residencies are available in March-June or August-November 2021. This residency is $5 000 for one artist or $8 000 for two artists. Funding must be used to cover the residency fee which is $500 per week, and includes accommodation, a workspace and some onsite support.
