Mar 17, 2018 · No fix yet. iTunes on the Mac is fine (14k songs, 105 GB so thank goodness for that) and organizes songs by the correct album for all my ripped (downloaded) music. But, on the iPhone, many songs have "unknown album". Apple Music is "activated" for both iTunes Mac and on the iPhone, but Apple Music "syncing" is off on both devices.

Feb 27, 2018 · My iTunes library on both my Mac and my iPad appears complete and correctly identified. The same library on my iPhone, however, doesn't correctly capture the Album information after syncing, instead each song is listed as an Unknown Album from this artist, despite the information being correctly identified by my Mac.

Jul 31, 2018 · It will read this as the song name, complete with any leading track number if present, and assign the tracks to Unknown Artist and Unknown Album. If iTunes is also keeping the iTunes Media folder organised then the tracks get moved out of the folders that previous could have indicated the artist and album they belonged to.

Oct 21, 2018 · When iTunes syncs music to my iPhone, songs end up displaying i Music as “unknown album” if they do not have the “Album Artist” set in iTunes (one ‘album’ icon appears for each song). This just started happening with a recent upgrade of iTunes and/or iPhone Music. The fix would be to just set the Album Artist on all these songs.

May 02, 2014 · Whenever I digitize rare vinyl and import it to iTunes, it shows up in an "unknown artist/unknown album" folder. However, when I try to title the folders with the artist and album names, and then name the individual mp3 files, iTunes throws it back into the "unknown" folder.

Jun 12, 2016 · Groove Shows Unknown Artist & Unknown Album I've just installed Windows 10 and experimented with the Groove music player. It finds all the songs but they are tagged Unknown Artist and Unknown Album. The songs appear fine in iTunes with the correct details and album art.
