Acquired directly from the artist, February 1977 Valerie Otani received her BA in philosophy from Antioch College in Ohio, and her MA in Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State University in California. She was a long-time resident of Portland, Washington and her public art installations may be seen throughout the city.
