Waldo S. Chase 1895-1988 Born in Seattle, Washington, he was a painter/printmaker along with brother Wendell Corwin Chase, and is known today for his color woodcuts depicting Northwest and Western landscapes. The Chase brothers claimed to have been self taught using Frank Morley Fletcher's book Woodblock Printmaking by the Japanese Method, 1916.
