Wendy Corbett is a self taught artist and works mainly in pastel, most of her work is exclusively in colour after a period of working in graphite – but she sometimes returns to the pencil. She believes pencil is very detailed but can take several weeks to complete, where pastel is almost instant, giving mood and atmosphere very quickly.

Wendy has recently expanded the subjects she paints, thinking back to childhood memories of the snow and, still based around the sea, family holidays.
