Today, the WFWS includes over 5,000 artists in ten regional watercolor societies and guilds. The WFWS encourages and recognizes artistic excellence and works to increase visibility of watercolor as an artistic medium through our annual juried exhibitions. The exhibitions are sponsored by WFWS and hosted by a regional member society.

46th Western Federation of. Watercolor Societies Exhibition. 2021. The 2021 Exhibition will be held in West Valley City, Utah, from May 6, 2021 to June 23, 2021 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. Juror for this exhibition will be award-winning artist, Sarah Yeoman.

SWS is one of the eleven members of the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. Every year the more than 5000 members of the WFWS member societies are invited to enter the annual Western Fed Juried Show. The annual juried WFWS exhibitions are hosted by each of the member societies in turn and the exhibition for 2020 will be in Boise, Idaho.
