Geldart’s favorite subjects to paint are scenes of northwest England as well as characters both real and imaginary. Aug 18, 2015 · William Geldart grew up in Marple and began drawing local scenery as a child. After National Service working as a photographer with an RAF fighter squadron based in Germany, he spent a trained at the Regional College of Art in Manchester. Since 1979 he has worked full time as an artist and running the Geldart Gallery.
