Dec 04, 2011 · Very weird. I know there's an option in Winamp to view the ID3 tags (to confuse things there are 2 versions, ID3 V1 and ID3 V2). If you want to try something on the phone though, you might want to give this a shot: ID3Fixer. I've never used it myself, but it seems to get pretty good reviews so it might sort it for you. Let me know if that works.

Mar 21, 2013 · Artist Name now "Unknown Artist" I have a Samsung Mesmerize. Winamp seems to work great and all the songs look fine after transferring over WiFi but if I ever turn off my phone or unmount my SD in any way I lose the actual artist name which is then replaced by "Unknown Artist".

Nov 02, 2011 · The artist is then listed as "unknown artist". Also: the albums are not seperated. for testing purposes I have loaded 2 albums on the droids SD card. The songs show up as 1,1,2,2,3,3, etc. Other info: I am using WMP and dragging my albums onto the droid via the sync. While syncing WMP shows the title, album and artist, etc Help!! (please). TIA.

Nov 17, 2011 · So, one bright morning suddenly all my 300 songs are labeled 'unknown artist'. Funny thing is, that when I connect the phone to the computer and/or use the sdcard in a cardreader, it's ok - all the ID3 tags are full and all the data is there, but on the phone it's all 'unknown'.
