Northwest Driftwood Artists (NWDA) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization devoted to wood sculpture using the LuRon method. Now close to 100 members, the group was founded in 1962 in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State. Unlike the carver, the LuRon driftwood artist does not have a particular idea in mind when starting a piece found at a mountain lake, beach, riverside, or trail.
