Mar 12, 2011 · No problem. Dyna Gakki makes some of the current Japanese Fender CIJ models. They were founded in Nagano in 1972. Joodee, Founder, Daion, and Yamaki labeled Les Pauls all run circa 1975-80. Your top is most certainly maple. If you open up the pickup cavity you should see about a 1/2 inch maple top seam. The tenon is likely a medium on transitional one.

Beautiful Yamaki LP copy made in Japan around 1976-1977. I am not an expert on these guitars but from what I have read they are held in very high regard. This Yamaki Les Paul was built around 76-77. There are a couple of hints for that. The first one is that Faraday electronics that were only used from 76-78. The pickups are a signature from Yamaki.Brand: Yamaki

YAMAKI Les Paul STD model YLP-450B. YAMAKI is a good acoustic manufacturer in 1970-80 time. Their guitars were distributed by Dion (whole Seller). They use the "Joodee" name too. But it should be a later production after Dyna Gakki stopped Joodee.

Original Yamaki tuners work well, both pickups sound good! New strings. They began making this model in the mid-1970's and I am guessing this was one of the early ones since they were still bold enough to put "Les Paul" on the headstock. Later models don't have this. Ships in a basic gig bag.

Made by Yamaki in Japan. They were distributed out of Burlington Ontario and had a distinctive maple leaf inlay on the fretboard for all models. They show up often in music store & Kijiji & pawn shops. Not bad quality. built by Kasuga Gakki. Here is a good My Les Paul Forum thread with info.

Seventies Les Paul lookalikes featured names like Burny, Tokai, and Greco on their headstocks. (Notice that Greco’s font is nearly identical to Gibson’s .) Fernandes created faithful recreations of Fender instruments; and Takamine and Suzuki both made acoustic …

The Les Paul Artisan was a very fine incarnation of the Les Paul, positioned above the better known models, Les Paul Custom, Les Paul Standard etc; and only below the very, very, expensive The Les Paul (1977-79) and the new active Les Paul Artist model (1979-1980). It was listed in Gibson price lists between 1978 and Summer 1980, yet shipping figures indicate a very small number (actually just ...
