New Zealand artist Yona Lee gives sculptural form to ‘life on the move’– transient, itinerant, flat-packed and high speed. Responding to the architecture of the gallery space, this site-specific commission is made from the structures found throughout global cities to usher and organise hordes of moving bodies.
Yona Lee, obtained her degree in Graphic Design at Ewha University, South Korea and completed her MA in Multimedia at Ecal Switzerland. She gained extensive experience working within leading communication agencies before going independent and eventually founding Yona Lee SA. Yona is also an adjunct professor in multimedia at the International University in Geneva.
