Young Artist Auditions 2021 Packet Forms *YAA registration is free this year for members who renewed BEFORE October 1st, 2020. A $75 fee applies for members who renewed AFTER October 1st and for non-members.

Young Artist Auditions What Students perform memorized solo piano works of one American composer (chosen from a required repertoire list) and one non-American composer (of their choice) for a number grade and/or rating (superior, excellent, very good, fair). Some advanced level divisions require only one solo work, either American or non-American.

YOUNG ARTIST AUDITIONS 2020 The Raleigh Piano Teachers’ Association sponsors the Young Artist Auditions at Meredith College in March of each year. Each year, hundreds of students and their teachers participate. Such a large scale project requires a great deal of planning, scheduling, personnel and cooperation.

Open to young artists who are prepared for a concert career in four classifications: Piano, String Instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass), Woman’s Voice and Man’s Voice. Voice entrants must be at least 25 but not 36, Instrumentalists must be at least 20 but not 29 by June 1 of the audition year.

Young Artist Auditions will be held March 8 - 9, 2013 at Meredith College. The deadline for submitting YAA packets is December 12 th, 2012 at Meredith College 9:45am - 12noon. All packets will be processed that weekend. If you mail your application packet, it must be in the chair’s hand by Wednesday, 6 PM, December 12, 2012.

Students may also enter competitions such as the Young Artist Auditions held each spring. Her North Raleigh studio is equipped with a Young Chang grand piano, Yamaha upright and Clavinova keyboard. A separate waiting room allows students to comfortably work on homework or theory while they wait for their lesson time.
